As the first-generation immigrant, I have lived and worked in the vast diverse and dynamic local DC metropolitan communities over the past 20 years. Over these years, I have observed the transition and transformation of small local communities into large semi-urban and urban developments. There has been continuous improvement of connectivity to and within these urban developments through investments in public infrastructure. This continuous urbanization of local communities had a positive impact on the quality of life of the residents in these communities and the overall region. However, such continuous and rapid development also poses various challenges to the residents in these communities as well as the public agencies that serve these communities.

I believe there is still lot of work to be done in further expanding on the efforts of the local, state, and federal public agencies in the region to serve the residents in a sustainable and equitable manner. It is my pleasure to be able to give back and serve the region in which I have resided for the last 20 years.
